    Schubert’s wonderful Rondo in B minor has been adapted for flute, with effective flute-friendly solutions to any string-specific notation. The Rondo is virtuosic in places, showy and exciting, beautiful, and a joy to play.

    The Composers Conference, a Massachusetts-based non-profit with an international reputation, is pleased to announce two new appointments to the senior staff: Violist and composer, Kurt Rohde, will take on the role of the new Artistic Director, and pianist, Margaret Kampmeier, will be the Director of the CPI.

    Africa Enchants Me - A Celebration of Poetry and Song LP recording session was in November at Lil'Drumma Boy Recordings studio in South Philadelphia.The talented Lee sisters, Dr. Cynthia Cozette Lee and Dr. Hazel Lee,self-produced and recorded their original inspiring poems and flute works soon to be released in 2020.

  • New York Women Composers
    This year we funded six projects, several of which combine music with other arts to attract new audiences and approach the music in creative ways. The broad geographic scope will increase awareness about women’s music with musicians around the world. The recipients will each receive $750 for the coming season.
