Charlie Porter won a GRAMMY Award for his performance on Joyce DiDonato's album Songplay. This exciting collaboration between famed classical mezzo-soprano DiDonato, a jazz quartet, and bandoneon gave Porter ample room to exhibit both his jazz and classical chops.

I am currently working on several projects which I am planning to complete and premiere by the end of 2020. 1. Nobody Knows my Name: Music inspired by Words of a Harlem Son is a piece based on James Baldwin's writing but also his deeper inner world reflected in his archives housed at the Shomburg.
