Lena Bloch & Feathery - Lena Bloch, Russ Lossing, Cameron Brown, Billy Mintz - will release a new album on October 8, 2021 on Fresh Sound Records.

The liner notes were written by the great UK writer and music historian, Brian Morton.

Excited to have received Tones of Clay by James Lee III and begin work on this significant new piano trio! Thanks to the Boston Symphony and the Linde Center at Tanglewood for the opportunity to premiere this work. We are currently in the planning stages for the upcoming 2021-22 concert season, which will include at least 5-7 concerts of new music by our composer members. However, we have already scheduled two organ concerts (August 12 & September 9) featuring Claudia Dumschat, the fabulous organist at the Little Church Around the Corner.


I'm currently writing a new piece for a 12-piece ensemble featuring my septet, string quartet, and vocalist. The project is entitled Imagined Conversations from a Relived Childhood and explores themes I was or was not taught while growing up.

Noteworthy Sheet Music

Renowned saxophonist Paul Cohen created an exciting transcription of Marion Bauer’s Sonata, Op.22, written originally for viola (or clarinet) and piano. This is a superb, challenging alto saxophone adaptation that will delight advanced players.
