NYC drummer/composer Sunny Jain leads ensembles that blend pan-Indian music with jazz and world music. His Sunny Jain Collective has released 3 critically acclaimed CDs and headlined at festivals/venues in the U.S., Canada, and India. Sunny earned the 2006 CMA New Works grant for his Taboo project, a blend of ghazals and jazz. Sunny also leads Red Baraat, a dhol & brass band. Sunny performed at the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Norway with the famed Sufi-rock group Junoon and belongs to South Asia Musicians for Peace & Humanity.
