The premiere performance of Dan Knight's "MURAL," a concerto for piano and symphony, will be the capstone of the dedication celebration of the new University of Iowa Museum of Art, and the return of Jackson Pollock's "Mural" to its new permanent home on the University of Iowa Campus.  Acclaimed pianist and faculty member of the University of Iowa School of Music, Rene Lecuona, will perform the piece with the University of Iowa Symphony.  Knight's "MURAL" is commissioned and funded entirely by the University of Iowa Foundation, with support from the University of Iowa Museum of Art and the University of Iowa School of Music.
