This new album “Entwined” contains four classical composers writing for bluegrass string band, recontextualized and reimagined as a rhythmically interlocking machine, where contemporary classical post-minimalism meets skillful technique and bluegrass drive.
This CD documents a live performances that took place on July 14, 2010 at the Velvet Lounge in Chicago. These performance feature free improvisation. Two of the tracks are improvisations based on compositions written by James Sanders.
