July 2, 2015 - Detroit - WDIV-TV news segment of CutTime Simfonica playing Robinson's Pork 'n Beans with improvising musicians Davis West and Derek Reeves


Haven is thrilled to receive a 2015 CMA Classical Commissioning Grant and will partner with Jon Magnussen to create "Twinge," a 20- to 25-minute song cycle for soprano, clarinet, and piano inspired by Barry Bearak's New York Times Magazine article recounting stories of survivors from 2004 Indonesian tsunami. 


Art of Élan is honored to receive a CMA Classical Commissioning Grant for its upcoming collaboration with the Formosa Quartet and esteemed composer Lei Liang. The commissioned string quartet takes its inspiration from the vocal music of aboriginal tribes of Taiwan and will be premiered at The San Diego Museum of Art in March of 2016.

Aaron Shragge & Ben Monder's performance in Festival of New Trumpet Music Canada 2015 received a stellar review:

We are ecstatic to annouce that we have been selected as a CMA Classical Commissioning grant recipient to work with the talented Jacob Cooper!! We look forward to working with him on a piece for percussion quartet with electronics -- a first for us and for Jacob!


We are proud to be the recipients of a 2015 CMA Classical Commissioning grant for a new work from Christopher Trapani for six voices and electronics!

The work will use innovative score-following software to react in real time and create a lush, kaleidoscopic microtonal soundworld.


The Reif Center is a proud recipient of a CMA Residency Partnership Grant for the 2015-2016 performance season. Our venue will be working with the Artaria String Quartet of Minneapolis, MN during two in-house residencies.
