Shelter Music Boston is pleased to be a grantee of The Good People Fund since 2013.


Flutist Peter H. Bloom & pianist/harpist Mary Jane Rupert, who concertize internationally as the duo "2" will tour Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota & South Dakota in Sep/Oct 2013. Music by J. S. Bach, Saint-Saëns, Copland, Schubert & Elizabeth Vercoe; see her piece Kleemation on Noteworthy Sheet Music.

Pictures on Silence

Pictures on Silence is excited to premiere Steve Antosca's my end is my beginning with members of the National Gallery of Art New Music Ensemble in September.  This commission was made possible by the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program.

Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop

The Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop in Arcata, CA has new Artistic and Executive Director. Dr. Daniela Mineva has accepted the nomination for the position and she will be leading the wonderful team of teachers and students from June 15 to 28, 2014 at the Humboldt State University, Arcata CA.

Carl Nielsen’s “Fantasy Pieces”, though written for oboe, sound not only beautiful but completely natural on alto flute.  Check out Noteworthy Sheet Music’s new transcription of Nielsen’s Op.2 for alto flute & piano.

Buffalo Chamber Music Society

We will examine ways of making the funding process more efficient and effective for all 3 interested parts of the commissioning triangle.
