Attacca Quartet

Just performed Chris Rogerson's String Quartet No 1.  for the first time and we are loving his music more than ever! Looking forward to seeing some of his new quartet soon.


David has been working on sketches, journaling about Garth Newel. He's made timelines of each movement for pacing and colors and instrumentation. Winter seems to most clear to him, string harmonics and ice cold textures

Noteworthy Sheet Music

Several worthy 18th century duets for two flutes, long out of print, are being re-notated and published by NSM for all to enjoy.  Check out the first of these new editions, Franz Anton Hoffmeister’s Sonata in D minor, Op.50, No.3.


Momenta got together with Alvin Singleton to read the sketches of his new quartet, Glory Bound, and to share ideas. Meanwhile, we just performed one of his earlier quartets, Somehow We Can, on the second night of our third annual Momenta Festival at the Americas Society.

GNMC hosted composer, David Biedenbender in August. David is writing a new piece for  us based on the four seasons of this beautiful mountain region. The work will be premiered during GNMC's 2018 Summer Chamber Music Festival.


Alchemy Sound Project saxophonist and composer Erica Lindsay was awarded a 2017 New Jazz Works grant from Chamber Music America, supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Lindsay will compose a new work for the composer-performer collective Alchemy Sound Project, with performances to be supported by the grant.
