David Trasoff was appointed as the 2012 Gordain Patel Distinguished Visiting Professor of Indian Music Studies at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, University of Georgia, Athens, GA. He is the first Western performer of Indian classical music to receive the appointment.

The Dream Songs Project is looking for new pieces for voice and guitar for performance in 2013-2014. Prizes are $1000 for the winning piece from a Minnesota composer and $500 for the winning piece by a composer from any state/country. Postmark deadline 6/1/13. The Dream Songs Project is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 2013 MRAC Community Arts grant. This award will allow the duo to commission a piece from composer Katherine Bergman, perform the piece on our January 2014 concerts, and record it for inclusion on our upcoming CD.
