The Lenora Zenzalai Helm the Zenzalai Project

North Carolina Central University, College of Liberal Arts, Music Professor, Lenora Zenzalai Helm has been selected as Fellow to The State University of New York (SUNY) Center for Collaborative Online International Learning (The COIL Center) Institute.

I just received the Miriam Gideon Award from the International Alliance for Women in Music's Search for New Music.  It was awarded for my String Quartet No. 2, Songs of the Night Wind, which the Stockholm String Quartet commissioned and premiered with Olle Persson, baritone.


The new album, TRI-FI 3, is now available everywhere. All original jazz compositions in TRI-FI's distinctive style rooted in the tradition of the classic jazz piano trios.

Seattle Chamber Players

The Jazzschool's Monday Night Studio Band, under the direction of Keith Johnson, won 1st place for the third consecutive year following its performance on Sunday, April 3, at the Annual Next Generation Festival (41st Annual National High School Competition) in Monterey, California.

Mary Rowell Says Adieu to ETHEL: In a May 31 email message, violinist Mary Rowell announced her decision to leave the rock band/string quartet ETHEL, after 13 years.   She will be succeeded by new music specialist Jennifer Choi.
