Visit the NSM website for more information on the recently published edition of Antonín Dvořák’s beautiful Ballada”, Op.15, transcribed for alto flute and piano.  Originally for violin, the piece works nicely on alto flute.

Chamber Music Day and Competition:Eight high school string quartet finalists take part in the 2nd annual Chamber Music Day and Competition on Sat., March 21,chosen from 16 applicants to the program. They will spend the day at USC playing chamber music, coached by the Parker Quartet members and the USC string faculty.

Parker Quartet concerts take place in the new Johnson Performance Hall in the Darla Moore School of Business on Tues., March 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sun., March 22 at 5:00 p.m. Sunday’s concert is free and no tickets are needed for this exceptional opportunity to hear world-class musicians in the beautiful new hall.

The Alan Ferber Nonet has recently finished recording its new work, "Roots & Transitions" at Systems Two Recording studio in Brooklyn, NY with Alan on trombone, Scott Wendholt, Shane Endsley, Jon Gordon, John Ellis, Charles Pillow, Nate Radley, Bryn Roberts, & Mark Ferber.
