“White Nights” showcases work by the three pillars of Russian classical music—Sergei Rachmaninoff, Sergei Prokofiev and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky—performed by Yehuda Hanani and renowned pianist Vassily Primakov. The emotionally torrential cello and piano sonatas of Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev reflect the sensibilities of the great Russian literature, while Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons, for solo piano, exudes the composer’s signature charm and melodic mastery.
