This is the 8th year showcasing new music with dance along the Upstate arts corridor. The composers represent Syracuse, Cornell, Eastman, Ithaca College and Hobart-William Smith Colleges.
This unique program includes 3 world premieres: Folk Dances, 2014by Sally Lamb McCune, Rhythmody, 2013 by Diane Jones, and Graxxis, 2013 by Ted Goldman, plusthe American premiere of Shifting Skins by Amit Gilutz (Israel winner, Berlin Prize). Complementing these are Pulitzer Prize winning composer Steven Stucky’s Album Leaves and Mark Olivieri’s stolen goods, 2013 (NYC premiere).
