Description

Known for concerts focusing on historical and cultural connections, the Sylvan Winds will close it’s 2016-17 season with “Viva Italia!” in the historic Basilica of the Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. The program is inspired by the church’s history reaching back to when this country was founded and when DaPonte (Mozart’s librettist) was a parishioner.

In this performance, the ensemble will perform delightful chamber music for winds by both well-known and obscure Italian composers, from the 18th Century to today
