Description

PREMIERE of scenes with piano (staged) of a commissioned opera about Matilda Joslyn Gage, one of the triumverate, with Susan B. Anthony & Eliz. Cady Stanton, who spearheaded the Women's Suffrage movement in NYS. Conducted by Heather Buchman, pianist Sar Shalom Strong, stage director Victoria King. Matilda's daughter, Maud, and her husband L. Frank Baum open the opera at Gage's gravesite in Fayetteville, NY. Gage's home is now the Gage Foundation, which is where Maud & Frank were married.
