On Friday, December 13 at 7:00 pm, Credo Chamber Music invites members of the community to Finney Chapel in Oberlin for the annual sing-along of Handel’s Messiah.   This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate the holiday season and participate in a long-standing Oberlin tradition.  The Sing-Along is presented in collaboration with Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Oberlin College Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.

Admission to the Sing-Along Messiah is free. A freewill offering will be taken to benefit Family Promise of Lorain County.  Family Promise addresses the needs of homeless families by providing shelter, meals, and support services. Supporting Family Promise is a great way for Oberlin to come together as a community, celebrate what we have, and lend a hand to those who need it most.

The performance, conducted by Oberlin Conservatory String Division Director Peter Slowik, features prize-winning vocal soloists from Oberlin Conservatory and a chamber orchestra.  All are invited to attend and participate or sit back and listen. Scores will be available for rent for $5, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own. For questions and more information, contact the Credo office at 440.774.3658.
