Zetwal is a multicultural dance group that performs traditional Haitian folklore dances with live drumming, Zouk (a French Caribbean social dance) and Soukous (an Angola-based rhythm). On the Island of Hispanola, old traditions, songs and dances (mostly of Congo and Dahomey origin) evolved and mixed with elements of Arawak (indigenous Haitian Indian) and French culture to form a new, uniquely Haitian dance expression. Zetwal will bring their exuberant joy in dance and music making for a night celebrating the beauty of this culture in a way you may never have seen before.

Dancing at Dusk info: Come to Caramoor for an evening of fun with the kids! Bring a picnic, spread out a blanket, and enjoy great music together. Children of all ages will have the opportunity to dance to live music, interact with the musicians, get to know their instruments, and ask questions. This is a wonderful way to have your child introduced, up close, to music in a relaxed and joyful way. Activities will be designed for toddlers as well as pre-teens.
