Classical music will never be the same when former Detroit Ssymphony Orchestra bassist Rick Robinson leads a local revolution making classical music matter to curious music lovers. This new series at New Center Park in Midtown Detroit runs each Thursday from noon until 1pm June thru August (except July 4) where he will interactively explore several of his ively adaptations, comps and standard chamber works, sharing the keys to their beauty and power with new listeners. Most programs will be unrehearsed readings with local freelancers to emphasis the process of refreshing written music in modern times. Recently recognized by Crain's Business Detroit as a social entrepreneur to watch, Robinson resigned from DSO to shift-paradigms with true community engagement across the country.
